Oh fuck we're in a Futurama episode.

I have a very high family risk of diabetes and my rule of thum for carbs has always been the more fiber the better. White breads, especially wonder bread has so little fiber you're basically just eating fluffy sugars. I'm no doctor and my body isn't everyone's body but If someone was asking me why bread messes with them my first question will always be, well how much fiber are in the bread you eat? Less then or equal to 10g carbs per 1g fiber? Alright. If you can get to 7:1 better. If you can crack 5:1, that's pretty good for bread.
He doesn't even understand the drugs he's taking
Remember the gluten free phase where people with no gluten alergy whatsoever decided they wanted to eat breads stripped of most of their protien(gluten) because they thought it was healthier.
The big question most journos are paid quite well to not ask.
The fact that he doesn't speak the language and is claiming hes socialy isolated because of it, to me, is a bigger deal than anyone seems to be making it out to be. A socially stunted teen with a grudge far far away from his parents in a country where he can't speak the most popular language does not seem conducive to rehabilitation. Welp, enjoy the future BPD diagnosis.
Im gonna be real with you. In the lords year 2025 I dont give a flying fuck about more than most people but I do care about every cat. I'd imagine this is a common sentiment.
That's an ethically strong choice but I'm not gonna lie, if that includes retirement, I don't think its too practical. I know anarchists active in local organizing that still have retirement funds. You can't help anyone if you're also in the hole.
The AI bubble is a bubble, aka not tangible or sustainable gains. The AI bubble also inflates the value of the dollar. When the AI bubble pops the value of the dollar goes down, likely by a lot. These are all fairly safe assumptions so I fail to see how it wouldn't follow that the the AI bubble is propping up the dollar.
The AI bubble propping up the dollar is why a lot of people still feel secure. Once that pops and everyones retirement looks bleak from the market crash and the value of the dollar slips further making things like food even more expensive things will get more interesting. Many people stopped buying many of their non essential goods because they knew Trump is bad for the economy too, so those people are probably still treding water financially for now.
The MLS exploded in popularity lately and still stays below the NHL, the smallest of the big four leagues, and they jusssst passed NASCAR. Football is ubiquitous here, baseball and basketball are popular, hockey can be pretty niche, and NASCAR relies on certain regions and is basically dead in others. Compared to them, I think its still fair to call it not popular. When people think pro sports here they think Football, Baseball, Basketball. Thats the bar.
The whole system is designed to keep working no matter what they think. Their recourse for this move is simply to quit, allowing their posts to be filled by people who won't oppose these kinds of moves. It's how the military has always worked, and I doubt the generals are going to start changing now. For them fascism promises(even if it cant deliver it) safety by going with the status quo. They're not going to start attacking American institutions, they're just going to quit.
