The article mentions Kairos Power but doesn't mention that their reactors in development are molten-salt cooled. While they'll still use Uranium, its a great step in the right direction for safer nuclear power.

If development continues on this path with thorium molten-salt fueled and cooled reactors, we could see safe and commercially viable nuclear (thorium) energy within our lifetimes.

To my layman's knowledge, using thorium molten-salt instead of uranium means the reactor can be designed in a way where it can't melt down like Chernobyl or Fukushima.

Edit: The other implication of not using uranium is that the leftover material is harder to make in to bombs, so the technology around molten-salt thorium reactors could be spread to current non-nuclear states to meet their energy needs and reduce reliance on coal plants around the planet.

I'll try again this year. No room inside so I'll put up some clear plastic bags around em and try to make a makeshift greenhouse for those days below freezing.

I did it too late last year and they all died. No room inside to bring em in.

Leaderboard here for anyone curious

Yep everyone blocking Pinterest.

Also the most prioritized website is Wikipedia. Guess everyone wants facts in the the age of hallucinatory AI

Maybe EV's shouldn't be packed with all the bloated features and unnecessary software. We could eliminate internal combustion engine personal vehicles if the prices were more affordable for the end consumer and our governments took a harder stance on cutting emissions.

I hate Pinterest lol, best thing about Kagi is being able to block whole sites and it remembers your preferences. I may come back to Kagi but I didn't feel like funding their AI features development. Now Im using Searx and 4get cause they're free.

This'll probably slow down career growth for a lot of people. Less facetime and work visibility for everyone below C-Suite. If your boss has 20 other direct reports, how do you stand out for promotions and raises? Also fewer leadership positions to get promoted to.

My Instapot died after a year and was expensive to fix. I didn't bother replacing it, just use the slow cooker if I need to now.

Give em some of these withe the neck rest. Imagine amphibious roman chariots. Or a horse powered pontoon boat.

There's a lot of cool images here https://liberalarts.tamu.edu/nautarch/nwl/lake-champlain-projects/hoofbeats-over-the-water-ina-research-on-horse-powered-ferryboats/

Kagi is rolling out more AI features and I cancelled my subscription after a year. I didn't want my support going towards all the unasked for and unnecessary AI, I jist wanted private search and was willing to pay for that.

Try these instead, they're free and drama free unlike kagi

Edit: Unless you're looking for AI, then maybe Kagi makes sense to pay for

It did close. Surprised to see it reopen. I left reddit for voat early on before it got filled with crazies and eventually lost viable funding.
