Ordered LE ~20 minutes after launch. Currently stuck on "Packaged items", and refreshing way too often to see the same message...

Our distributor has hit a processing backlog for orders to Canada. We are actively working through the issue and will ship your order as soon as we can. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships

I'm hoping this backlog won't be too long. πŸ₯²

It seems really dumb to play on such a device, but I've been playing a few rounds of Bejeweled 3 when looking for something in short bursts. There's a controller profile that works surprisingly well with the dpad + face buttons.

For laid back / cozy games, I recommend A Short Hike, TOEM, the Frog Detective trilogy & Dave the Diver.

A mesh system would be better or even an old router in AP mode. That's actually what I'm using to get full speed downstairs. It works really well, with no latency even for complexe things such as my Plex server or VirtualDesktop (wireless VR with my PC).

Wired is always better than wireless. You'll get better WiFi speed with AP than Wi-Fi repeater.

It's been in my backlog for a while (it just keeps getting bigger & bigger...). I try to switch genre every now and then just so I don't get bored of the sameness, but given the appreciation this received online and your comment, it's been pushed to the top of that list haha :)

Almost done with Eternights. It has its janky moments but for a first game by a one person studio, it's surprisingly good!

I'm also halfway done with Gato Roboto, it's a great (but short) game where you play as a cat in a mech suit Γ  la Metroid πŸ±πŸ€–

Sorry, I thought it was obvious I was sarcastic about their "mistake". They want to be seen as the victims like they didn't know in advance the outcome of their decisions. Backing down on the changes only to show something "less worst" is only a way to make the pill easier to swallow. Unity cannot be trusted anymore.

How to be a company in 2023

  1. Make a controversial move to please your shareholders without caring about your loyal customers.
  2. Don't use a proper PR team, just use the same apology template on Twitter that everyone is using.
  3. People are angry... Could anyone seen that coming? πŸ™ˆ
  4. Undo some changes without addressing the root problem.
  5. ????
  6. Profit (if by profit, you mean loose every inch of respect people had about you)

Rinse & repeat, because we're all humans and we can't learn from our mistakes. Surely, this won't happen again... right?

It's always the case of a small group ruining the whole thing for everyone. Identifying and removing big dodgy paid servers would be a good middle ground without punishing the others.

In an email to customers who run Plex servers at the large German hosting company Hetzner, Plex said that access will be blocked next month. It’s not clear if Hetzner is the only hosting company this applies to, but several customers confirmed that they received the same email.

Has anyone here on Lemmy got this notice? Self-hosting is still in the green, but with this precedent who knows what Plex could do later.

Choice is great for the consumers, it means different options for different folks. You want Linux, you got options. You prefer Windows, same scenario. This can be applied for every other aspect; screen, size, controls, offline play, etc.

Lots of options doesn't mean you have to buy each. Personally, I'm happy to see such a thriving market of devices.

Everyone should use uBlock + Facebook Container. It's still far from perfect, but every step counts.

Switching between "Active" and "Top [1h/6h/12h]" at different times of the day has provided me with enough content & interactions to make Lemmy my new home. I always was a lurker on the old site, no comment nor post, not even an account. Now, I'm slowly trying to break from this habit. Being on Lemmy feels like I'm not shouting in the void; when a platform gets too big, you get lost in the crowd. It's always nice to see recurring usernames on different communities.
