That was a fun read.

I went to a couple social dances hosted by a local ballroom dance club. I like pretending I'm someone else, someone cool, since I don't know anyone there.

Isolating variables like this is so cool!

Watched Asteroid City recently for the first time. I thought the play within the movie (and the intertwining back and forth of storylines) was really interesting and entertaining.

Someone did my tarot recently, and I didn't realize the second way existed. Paired with introspection after the fact, the experience was quite therapeutic.

Were you ever in marching band? I got relatively good at that after putting my all into marching band in high school.

Thanks, stole it myself!

That's impressive. Is it still licensed under a libre copyleft license? Surely that's too good to be true.

It's a Q: a bunch of vowels are lined up behind it!

[This] study only included healthy volunteers who were not experiencing chronic pain. Therefore, it is unclear how LSD might affect individuals with chronic pain conditions, who may have different brain connectivity patterns than healthy individuals. Further research is needed to explore whether LSD could be effective in alleviating chronic pain in patients and how it compares to other pain management strategies.

Cool study, but it's a bit limited because of this. I was hoping they would find something analogous to how MDMA might help treatment-resistant depression.

I'm East Asian. My ex (also Asian) said I smelled bad sometimes after exercising, but my current partner (not Asian) says I don't have any body odor. I do think that when we go to the gym together, their smell far outweighs mine. I can't smell myself at all, but then again, people are usually habituated to their own scents.

Sometimes, though, when I was a child, my father would come home from the gym, and we could all smell him from a mile away. I don't know if that's because the gene skipped him or if it's just because humans generally think their close family members are stinky.

It's nice to talk about this when my armpits aren't in danger of being sniffed by several drunk friends.

Thanks for the explanation! I've taken the liberty of posting this to bestoflemmy:

This explanation has pictures, and I learned me a thing or two from it!

Here's a (grainy, blurry) screenshot, if you don't feel like clicking away to read the comment in its original glory:
