This is such a hazard and high risk potential for anyone that uses Snapchat

Discord is commonly abhorred by the FOSS community as it's commonly referred to as "the place where information is lost forever" so why would Signal be any better?

The reason why I bring this up is because you (an hour old account) are posting this on a fediverse forum where knowledge is more readily available for the public to share and learn from.

So no offence but I personally find it difficult to see as to why anyone should trust this on first glance.

I like the nice snap sound the case makes when it closes👍

Reporting typically works best👍

Huh in that case I wonder if both instance and defederation works by sort of pausing/suspending the new content updates.

Sort of like how Newpipe works is that new content could be available on your home/sub feed but won't show up unless explicitly updated (by swiping down). Although for this analogy to work, banning would be equivalent to a filter/block in Voyager although it'll only work for newer content?🤔

That's my new guess anyways, not sure if it'll help!😅🤗

I did get that, I just don't understand as to why that's happening; maybe a federation error?

It’s almost like their new posts are “defederated” from my home instance.

That part is odd and I don't really have a good guess or assumption as to why that's happening.

The posts they make are in a federated community with my home instance. I’d bet if they replied to this comment, I wouldn’t see their reply. (assuming this comment is even visible to them).

As far as I understand the system; banned users shouldn't be able to make comments on a home instance their banned from unless something is broken or has been deliberately been changed.

If user A from instance 0 is banned from instance 1, then they can't post on any instance 1 posts

but on instances outside of 1, they'll still be able to interact with instance 1 users as far as I'm aware.

Structurally I know how things should work, but sometimes trying to program it tho...

The new law requires those aged 12 and up to undergo a criminal record check before they can get their name changed.

Excuse me what??

The changes were prompted after B.C. United Leader Kevin Falcon introduced a proposed private member's bill

Of course, why am I not surprised that the conservatives/neoliberal party would propose such a crudly drafted bill to target both guilty and innocent people

this is actually great lol

What a delightfully plesant link!
Thanks for sharing🤗🌻

If you're reading this congrats!🎉

You're one of the few who gets to learn about AMD's secret cpu launch lol

Apologies for the late vid, still emotionally recoving from the recent US news

Either way, AMD is killing it with the gaming performance gains with their newest 9800X3D CPU!

For anyone OOTL with Userbenchmark:

Userbenchmark - the April Fools that never ends

Over the course of several years I've discovered that I've grown more paranoid and fearful when living with my neurotypical family as they haven't been emotionally supportive in the slightest.

They always compain that I never tell them anything but can I really be blamed for this when I get criticised about complaining?

I feel more comfortable around my friends as I get to listen to their IRL horror stories and I can also share mine, since I'm an empath I'm more emotionally invested in listening to people. With my friends it's a beneficial give and take whereas I'm only given the choice of listening with my family so I feel like I'm constantly taking crazy pills.

I remember after consulting with my doctor I got diagnosed and I was told that yeah I do have OCD. I tried telling my parents about it and they said it's all in my head. Gods that dreadful feeling hasn't dimished in the slightest.

Trying to find a tech job hasn't been easy as well being a new graduate with no prior experience as well. So trying to create useful/interesting FOSS apps has been hard as my motivation has mainly stemmed from my desire to escape.

Everyday I wonder if my life could have been better if I was born neurotypical.

Sorry for the rambling, please let me know if this post is unwanted here
