You would think an admin account would have 2fa enabled (unless the hack was due to a security issue in lemmy itself, but it doesn't seem to be the case).

It seems the database and the server itself is not compromised? Just an admin account that used to post a markdown XSS exploit?

The model creator usually mentioned it in the readme:

You will need at least 16GB of memory to swiftly run inference with Falcon-7B.

Usually the models support CPU inference. Tremendously slow but works in a pinch.

I used Arch in the past but don't have much time to tinker with my Linux installs anymore, so I switched to Manjaro on most of my devices, hoping to get a balance between low maintenance and access to bleeding edge and AUR ecosystem. I do notice the issues with updates getting delayed more and more in the past few months, and issues with AUR packages getting out of sync like you mentioned.

I wonder if I should start looking into something else. Any recommendation?

Can you run Wayland GUI apps in distrobox?

Using rolling release distro seems to be great for gaming because you'll get bug fixes, kernel and driver updates faster. Even steam deck is based on a rolling release distro (Arch). On the flip side, you'll also get new bugs before anyone else. Doesn't happen too often but it does happen.

Yes, never have this problem thanks to the trusty ctrl+shift+c and ctrl+shift+v.

Looks like https://mastodon.xyz is up again now.

Extended downtime is common for community-run servers like this. Remember, even if the server is down for a full day every year, it's still have 99.73% uptime! Chasing 99.999% uptime (like the big tech) for a community-run server is not reasonable because the cost (money and manpower) to do so is exponentially higher with every "9" you add in your uptime.

I can only see new posts. It doesn’t retrieve older posts

This is normal. You'll only receive new posts going forward from ActivityPub. Think of it like joining a mailing list, you'll only receive new mails after subscribing. If you want to pull older post, you'll have to do it manually by pasting the post (or comment) url in the search field.

I'll try again to see if the blur only happen on certain apps or all of them.

I'm still waiting for proper fractional scaling in gnome's wayland that won't turn the screen into a blurry mess. I'm using gnome tweaks' font size setting as a workaround for now, but it's not ideal.

I always want to self host my own search engine, but alas, I'm not a billionaire.
