Going way back, Lew Alcindor, they were writing stories about Kareem when he was in high school. Bird and Magic were hyped up when they were drafted. Hakeem might have been the next one after that. I remember there being a lot of hype about Jason Kidd, but he was drafted second, behind Glenn Robinson.

Barry Bonds was 36 when he set the single season home run record and won an MVP when he was 40. He was 42 when he retired and still could’ve played but no one wanted to associate with him at that point. Roger Clemens won the Cy Young award when he was 41. Lebron is almost certainly juicing, but just with a different and better regiment than Bonds and Clemens.
