There are lot of federal jobs that are very lenient on dress. Not public facing? Sometimes lot of options! Public facing? Might have to wear a uniform but the ability to have visible tattoos and piercings is pretty high. Also options for getting into the public sector without a college degree.

That's pretty fair. My experience (while young) was similar. I am mainly speaking to the racist side of things, that seems to apply to religions including, and outside of, Christianity. At some level, it's like politics. Some folks will vote Democrat because that's what they do, some will because they see that as their best option, and some will be activists within that system to foment change. But politics in USA is not religion if you are left leaning so it is harder with fewer real options. Probably no racists vote for Democrats.

Boo, what does this mean for 538?

For a party that used to be obsessed about "pork" it it ridiculous. Just pass a budget. Unacceptable. There are jobs, programs, and support networks on the line.

I'm not sure that religion reigns anyone in. It isn't structured that way from my understanding, leaving too much to interpretation by the leaders. In my experience, exceptionally racist and activist folks are also religious, and use their chosen religion to support and motivate their actions and beliefs. You're right in that people who are good followers of whatever will be more pacifist (you didn't say that exactly but I think that is what you were at), but there aren't that many folks who get deep into scripture. In many religions.

Boeing shouldn't be boosting anything except quality, safety, and employee considerations.

This isn't surprising, anytime we try to rush something we will risk error. I think Kagan's cohort agrees, but the other six justices probably see this as a feature, not a flaw.

The four times were actually caught on video

The movie "Revolutionary Road" demonstrates this very well. And some other topics relavent to today.

Zero weeks just sets an unreasonable standard for fecundity. Oh, you boned, and no baby, jail. Not that six or twelve is better. Especially when these folks dont actually care about circumstances or reality.

I dont think it is helpful to see it as a slur. This is more like "use my words against me" and it works, really well. The right wing folks this is messing with identify as being normal, predictable, sensible, strong, etc. Not weird. So when one of them goes to a donut shop and has their internal record get stuck on "OK, good" it looks abnormal, unpredictable, nonsensical, and perhaps even weak. AKA weird, and we can make them uncomfortable with that.
