"He added that an initial inspection indicated the explosion originated inside the vessel"

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what it looks like the moment before the explosion "inside the vessel".

"Tunisia's national guard told the AGF news agency that "no drone" had been detected"
They should probably look into that.

@Spaniard

A ship at night. It's half past midnight, and a bulb of fire is heading towards it at full speed. It's the MS Family being bombed in Tunisian waters.

That looks ideal, thank you so much! Also found it's available in a local shop. Good stuff. :)

I used to have a Bodum coffee maker with a metal filter, but it never really worked that well for me, and I lived in Italy where paper filters are not that easily available. Now I'm beating myself up over giving it away without testing more alternatives.

I think maybe the best solution is to explore the world of V60 (as much as I love my Chemex). But I'll try double filters for sure before doing anything too dramatic.

It's not a huge expense compared to the coffee, and especially as I'm a bit rough when grinding it (some early 20th century grinder from a flea market) I appreciate that it somehow always seems to produce a decent cup no matter what I put into it.

I'll give stacking V60s a try before buying the next round of Chemex filters. Seems a bit far-fetched but you never know. Thanks for the advice!

Lardera looks decent, too bad it's American.
@AWTM_James

Is there any chance of getting non-American Chemex-style coffee filters?

I'm trying my best to cut myself off from American dependencies, but I'm running out of Chemex filters and I can't seem to find any high quality third party offerings at all.

I want to use it in a (six cup) Chemex, and I'm looking for the same thick paper quality as what is in the official filters. Just not from an American company. Does anybody have any idea?

Changing platforms will always somewhat inconvenient, as long as you have to rebuild your social graph else. This is maybe particularly the case on Mastodon, as you don't have a feed full of endorphin-maximizing content right off the bat.

Making the move to Mastodon does require a minimum amount of effort. I think it's good to be open about that. :)

What is comfortable is of course an individual consideration - personally I never felt comfortable on Twitter or Faceboook.

@OutlierBlue I guess the preference for European alternatives these days runs deep! :)
