Of course they want a constant revenue stream. I want a constant revenue stream as well, isn't it normal?

Whether the price is worth paying for you is a different matter but wanting to profit off your hard and good work is completely natural to me.

Some people mentioned Framework and I would definitely look into it, however you didn't specify your country and they don't sell everywhere in Europe. I was just in a market for a new laptop and really wanted it but it's not available in my country.

Another options for an out of the box Linux laptop are Slimbook, Tuxedo Computers and Starlabs. I personally just ordered Slimbook Executive 14 yesterday.

Well, this looks just stunning, I'm going to use it on the desktop for sure. Thanks!

This is not backed up by any data, but for me the experience on Chromium based browsers always seems faster and smoother, especially on modern, JS heavy sites.

Also, I'm a sucker for feature rich applications and I really like how much stuff Vivaldi and Brave have built-in. This is extremely subjective though and I know there are many people who consider all of this a terrible bloat.

I use Firefox, but only because I really don't want to support Chromium's monopoly. I do think that Chromium based browsers are better though.

No one will convince me that this "Glyph Interface" is anything more than a total gimmick. Some of the gimmicks are impressive at least, this is just a bunch of white LEDs. Yeah, it does look kinda cool, but nothing more than that, focusing so much attention on such irrelevant detail of the phone is just weird.

Since you're so concerned with Jerboa quality I'm pretty sure the developer would appreciate if you volunteered for performing comprehensive quality control before each release.

I hate shorts and I hate seeing them in my subscription feed.

I definitely wouldn't be as upset as I am right now. I would consider paying to be able to continue to use the service.

However, right now, I wouldn't come back to Reddit even if they called of the whole thing and decided to leave free access to the API. I have zero trust in Reddit after all that happened. To be honest I'm kinda glad it all went down like this. At least we got to know their real colors.

This is absolutely fantastic news! Sync was pretty much my only way of browsing reddit for a long time. This should make the transition much easier.

BTW: Hi everyone, that's my first comment on Lemmy!
