I'm looking for a versatile dress watch that works with a suit as well as in a more casual setting (e.g. jeans with a shirt or nice sweater). I was initially thinking of getting a Longines Flagship, which I think is a really stunning watch, but I'm afraid it's a bit too dressy for my purpose. So I came across the Tudor 1926, which has a white dial and a slightly more casual look. Price wise there is little difference between the two but tech wise I think the Longines is superior. What would you suggest?
I'm looking to buy a new mechanical dress watch up to 1000€. I have a white collar job so I'll wear it almost daily. I'm torn between the Le Locle (645€) and the FC (850€). With the Le Locle, I prefer the propeller shaped hands and the open case back. However, the FC has a crisper dial. I was also thinking of exchanging the default black wristband for a brown one, which might work better with the Le Locle than the FC (due to the silver hands). Any thoughts? Which one should I go for? Which one has more "bang for the buck"? Also happy for any alternative recommendations you might have.
