Yea, Ramos' recklessness and aggression was part of the reason he was so good. The man went to war every single game for better or worse. His red card record is a byproduct of that. It's not a bug, it's intentional design lol.

I thought the issue is that when Chelsea got taken over, what they did wasn't "against the rules"

I believe so and I know they've done things to benefit players in the past but this particular problem hasn't been addressed iirc.
