Be sure to include Nobara and Bazzite, both of which are gaming focused distros. Both are Fedora based, but Bazzite is known more as a SteamOS 3 clone. There's also another gaming focused distro, it just escapes my mind. But I love Fedora KDE as is and then just installing the required software. So I'd say add Fedora, Nobara, and Bazzite for sure!

KDE is the way! I've heard KDE called the swiss army knife of DE's, and I couldn't agree more! I'd be curious to see a comparison of Gnome and KDE users previous OS. I'd bet KDE has more windows converts and gnome favors mac, but I really don't hear about many mac folks switching to linux.

That's odd, it seems fine on my end. But here's another instance link: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=4sfIBRTcRpU

You Have No Medical Privacy (invidious.privacyredirect.com)

Most people think that HIPAA means that their medical records are kept private. But what if I told you that HIPAA doesn’t protect your privacy at all?

This is our first video in a series about medical privacy, specifically looking at legislation that stripped individuals of the right to consent to medical data sharing.

We focus on what HIPAA actually is, how it came to allow our data to be shared without us even knowing, how we’ve been tricked into thinking we have privacy, and steps we can take to reclaim control of our medical data.

So Ubuntu has a version called Lubuntu, which used to come with LXDE, but now it comes with LXQt. So this will require you to install LXDE with the tasksel command, unless you start with Ubuntu desktopless. But I'd say to definitely check out Kubuntu, it's the KDE version, and I feel like KDE and LXDE are quite similar. Both have an older windows overall appearance.

Ever pop your ears when going up a mountain or during flight? This is air pressure changes. Either way, water tight does not mean air tight, while air tight does mean water tight assuming the material is not water soluble.

That'll make it so you're not bothered by banners anymore, so I'd say yes. I activate everything listed and then import others filters from filterlists.com. Here's a link which will let you add the Easylist Cookie Lists: https://filterlists.com/lists/easylist-cookie-list

I'd recommended adding EFF's Cookie Block List, which you can find here: https://filterlists.com/lists/eff-cookie-blocklist

uBlock doesn't block cookies directly but it can be setup to block the domains associated with cookies. Adding the EasyList Cookie will accomplish this. It will prevent websites from setting cookies when you visit them. As far as essential cookies go, I'd assume the Easylist blocks cookies which won't affect the websites function.

It's 100% a feature! Truly a horrendous approach to lock down a device someone purchased to the extent seen on Windows.

Linux can't prevent you from permanently removing files. While in Windows it's a chore to remove a number of files/bloat, which are then most often back after a system update.

Aegis is the move, my favourite option for sure!

I believe Joplin still doesn't have a web app unfortunately. StandardNotes does and it could help here too. I'd think just making a new note for each entry will time and date it, but any editing of the note would change the time stamp.

I have yet to see it, but in addition to the lackluster reddit thread, here are the IMDB reviews: https://imdb.com/title/tt16283824/reviews

While IMDB has rated a number of films/shows I love well lower than I feel they should be, all in all the scores tend to be a pretty good indicator. They rated it 7/10 with some folks ranting and raving about it, while others say the show tried to fit too much into it. Hope this is at least somewhat helpful.
