We've already seen the boomest shooter. Our savior hath already come and gone and left us behind to witness his passing. His name was Ultrakill.

I forget sometimes that the function of a jury is to establish the fact of guilt and nothing else. Deciding appropriate punishment is not within their domain, that's for the judge.
In that context I do agree with you and I suppose I retract my earlier statement.
My mother did this. Used her disability backpay to finance a little double-wide trailer, and the plot it's placed on is like $150 a year plus utilities. Yes she lives in a trailer park, with all the associated things that come with that, but her monthly expenses are basically nothing and she owns the building under her own name.
I'd argue that's exactly who we want on the jury. Who would know better exactly how heinous the crime is than someone who lived through it?
So if your MAF sensor shits the bed you'll never know about it because you're overwriting its data. And from there it's only a matter of time before your car requires dealership service to turn on because it can't phone home properly because some bullshit proprietary data key is broken.
The game of cat and mouse will continue. People will hack their cars and manufacturers will install anti-hacking measures and then people will hack the anti-hacking measures. It's just another thing where instead of being a mutually beneficial transaction it will become a hostile arms race between the consumers and manufacturers. We're already on this path; the only real hope I'm holding out for is the advent of an open source car.
Around where I'm at you're at semi-significant risk of getting pulled over if you're driving under the speed limit. The police assume you're drunk or high and if you're not they'll give you something about "being a hazard to other traffic". Speed limit+10 is the safest speed to move at around here because you're matching other traffic and matching what the cops expect of you.
Nioh can be best described as "dark souls gameplay with Borderlands itemization" which I personally love. It's not for everyone. But the folks it is for will love it. You know who you are.
There are, but they're hosted on Discord now. It's pretty much entirely taken over that niche.
I miss IRC.
This is the most absolutely buck wild and inefficient version of this idea I've ever seen, ever. Director AI's have existed over a decade, and have already been used to solve problems exactly like these. If I was Joel and was woken up at 2am to go drop a couple more bugs on Leedle III I'd tell my entire management team to eat shit and do it themselves. What the fuck. Who came up with this? This is half baked as hell
Tl:dr: Wendy’s CEO thinks we’re all dumb.
People still purchase Wendy's, he's got good reason to think that.
Yeah that's not what it's about at all. Hospitals need funding. Hospitals do not need a profit motive. Remove the profit motive and socialize the costs of healthcare. Just like every civilized country does it.
There's been a big revival of that genre over the last 10 years or so and I think Boomer Shooter was adopted as a way to differentiate it from your standard FPS. Turbo Overkill is very different from Borderlands which is very different from COD. You'll need a way to communicate that difference if you want fans to buy your game.
