Pretty much this, I have tried a lot of foods and some of them just make me want to puke just from texture alone. A great example is bean sprouts. Another example is if you put too many chunks of various foods in a rice or pasta dish, I get completely overwhelmed.

I can force myself through the food if I need to, but it's just a horrible experience akin to being stabbed. It's not me being closed minded or childish, and I'm tired of people being condescending to me because of this.

exactly this, I've been using noscript for at least 15 years by now, probably longer. It's annoying, sometimes. But it's worth it always.

it's interesting, in dutch Google trends, "dizziness" has a similar graph but "duizeligheid", the Dutch translation for it, is a flat line

I recently got into using NeoVim with LazyVim. It's honestly been my favorite IDE experience by far after using VSCode for ages and then trying Zed for a year. It's super light and has infinity features and plugins.

You'd think, and yet my local climbing gym is one of the most queer places in the city. This is also the case for a lot of other climbing gyms.

Limiting framerate to 60hz? In [current year]??

That's... insane. If you're drinking 3 alcoholic drinks per day you're not considered an alcoholic?? That seems like an extremely warped view of alcohol vs every other drug.

No issues with Nvidia for me on arch. The drivers are fine and there's even a cool Linux version of shadowplay if you use that.

Plenty of video games that will not run on Linux simply because of stuff like anticheat. Like Apex Legends (ran fine for a while but got blocked again recently) and Valorant, just to name 2 I'm personally aware of that's stopping some of my friends from going to Linux.

You can say that dual booting would fix that, and my bf actually does that, but that's obviously not a workable solution to the vast majority of people.

As long as games like that won't run on Linux it's simply impossible for a lot of people to switch.

Single page application

You can still absolutely have deterministic inputs without tying the inputs to the frame rendering. Just have a separate thread for the game logic that runs at regular intervals.

Just look at Minecraft. 20 game ticks per second during which all the game logic runs. But the game absolutely ain't limited to 20fps.
