Tried to blame me, lawyer got testimony from cops, witnesses, and animal control. The animal control report was very damming for her. The officer talked about how after he came in to her home he had to go back outside because he feared for his safety, too. My lawyer as well as getting the warrant also got the go ahead from the judge to start the process to put a lien on her house, which apparently is very rare, so the testimonies of other people and her dodging being served must have really pissed of the judge.

A “friendly little pit bull”. I was walking down a sidewalk in an urban area when I passed by it and its owner and it decided I was snack time. The small woman owner couldn’t control it and when I was able to get it off I luckily could run inside a building. Two good Samaritans who saw the attack followed the woman to her home and called the police to tell them where she was.

I initially told the owner cover my hospital bills and rehab and let’s call it a day. Instead she tried to blame me because I looked “intimidating” to her dog (what she told police). Luckily the good Samaritans provided a statement to police stating they just saw me walking down the street like every other person.

I was out thousands in medical bills and lost workdays and she wouldn’t pay so I sued her and she dodged process servers so we got a judge to file a bench warrant for her arrest. That got her to court real quick and instead of paying $5k in medical bills she ended up posting me $110k, some was covered by her policy but she was still out of pocket $35k according to the discussions my lawyer had with her lawyer and insurance company

Is this low unemployment and wage growth in the room with us?

Unemployment is “low” because shitty gig economy jobs are counted as employment. And wages might be growing, but are lagging far behind inflation.

The majority of Americans aren’t sexist and racist, they are living paycheck to paycheck and some unlikable rich black woman from San Francisco isn’t going to be able to relate to a poor white man from Nebraska or even a Hispanic dude from El Paso. And you would think “neither should a rich ass hole from NYC”, but he at least pretends to care about them. Democrats have been demonizing the working class for over a decade and they are starting to reap what they sow.

I voted for Kamala, but she was a terrible candidate. She made no attempt to empathize with the plight of the majority of the working class voting base and instead was more worried about capturing the vote of rich trust fund babies that are being misgendered.

They did, but it isn’t great knowing how much better they are than you? We can at least take comfort in their “moral high ground” even though they let a guy who explicitly stated he wanted to be a dictator become president.

The democrats have been such shit lately that if a middle of the road republican would have ran I most likely would have voted for them. The problem is that Republicans are spineless morons who let trump walk all over them. I know a lot of people here will act like only Republicans are the ones in big businesses pocket, but news flash pretty much everyone except Bernie sanders is in big business pocket, and democrats made sure that Bernie got thrown out with the trash.

Guess what democrats, if you run old middle America white dudes who understand the working class you will win by unfathomable margins every election. But I guess keep running upper class women from San Francisco and New York City and see where that keeps getting you.

Reading comprehension and logic on Lemmy is nearly as bad as Reddit. I left Reddit for a reason and Lemmy is just turning into a communist version of the pseudo intellectual garbage heap that is Reddit .

Yeah, believe it or not most middle Americans don’t care about Cardi B’s take on economic policy or that Kamala is a big supporter of drag queen story hour. If democrats stopped worrying about asinine social rhetoric and focused on giving the working class a chance at a future without being buried in medical debt for getting a cold then they would have won in a land slide. Nobody in Jasper Indiana gives a shit about some kids being blown to bits in Gaza when they can’t afford to feed their own kid. Nobody in rural Alabama cares about the sanctity of Ukrainian borders and funding that war when they can’t afford their rent payment.

Oh, Kamala is going to be the first woman and black woman at that for president? Who fucking cares when I’m working two jobs to pay off college debt for a STEM degree I was told would give me a comfortable life.

Most people who voted for Trump aren’t racist Nazis, they are broken people who’ve had shit shoveled in their face by politicians, crony capitalism, the media, and celebrities so when George Clooney and Brie Larson call them idiots and tell them to vote for Harris of course they are going to do the opposite.

You have to be a brain dead moron to lose to the wannabe fascist, small dick energy, piece of shit, geriatric, brain mush, pile of dirt that is trump, but somehow Democrats continue to not meet that low low low bar.

How are you getting upvoted and I’m getting downvoted for saying the same thing?

JS is slow, but I program Rust and Scala. Every internal app at my company is react based and I spend most my time waiting for that bloated framework to load a simple table. It can take seconds to load a 20 route paginated table from source.

Voted for Kamala, knew she was probably the worst choice the Dems could have picked to try to win the election. For people who don’t understand why, this video is still relevant.
