Yeah, I suppose my idea of a decentralized accountability sublemmy would just help make that process a little more efficient.

Obviously it’s still rough and a mess but I think it’s a fair enough decentralized fit-in for Reddit’s centralized moderation authority.

This would be a perfect solution I think, if most major mods and subs weren’t hosted on .world and .ml.

The conflict of interest is real and intense; I have been told directly that certain problematic .world mod activity cannot be addressed because the mods in question are close friends with instance admins.

Thanks for your thoughts :)

These are valid concerns that could certainly prove problematic without further insight. :) Thanks for sharing.

Ok now make a corrected edit where both of them are saying the speech bubble (both of them are forced to sell their bodies in order to live and afford basic human needs, yet they have become needlessly pitted against each other in various leagues of purity contest in order to distract from their oppression under capital)

This is one of the first comments I have seen on lemmy that truly feels like old school reddit. You applied your professional knowledge to that fairly unkind commenter not only to correct them but also to express something many might not know!

Very cool of you keep it up champ :)

ah there’s our miscommunication! i am not arguing anything i just misunderstood at first and offered a possible solution/additional context

but i was wrong so i issued my apologies and asked for clarification :)

you stated there was something that was a problem with the reporting, and i inaccurately surmised that it had to do with trans people experiencing hate. what was it in reality?

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

i literally don’t know what you are talking about, lol. just asking for clarification because my initial reading was clearly wrong :)

well i am missing your point i guess, sorry. could you rephrase what you are saying ? im quite lost

edit: like what is “the problem” involved here? what are the journalists saying that is misleading?
