Eh I went into software engineering because I wanted to work remotely, not because writing code is my dream. But I have no regrets.

OP you’re making me think there’s a niche for high end bougie hostels - expensive, luxury accommodation that’s still geared towards socializing. Not a place you stay at to save money.

Maybe this already exists 🤷

It’s been a 20 year triple whammy of 9/11, the 2008 market crash, and then Covid coming along and deeply splintering society even more than it was.
