the only real use case I've found for ai (not including science and stuff, I'm talking more LLM for consumer use) is when I have a very niche issue, and even then rarely does it solve the issue, just gives me a better idea of what I can go looking for

I already tried it's not that easy

I can't change your mind if you have no brain which is apparent by this delusional post

someone told me about it while in the hospital and I didn't fucking write it down and I'm pissed 😩

I hate using The Big Light™, but I can't always have my room dark. My led strip that is up in the corner of the ceiling just died, so I'm looking for replacements. I'm not opposed to another one, I'm just curious what all else there is. thanks

edit: I might actually just replace my big light bulbs with hue bulbs or something (though those are mad expensive)

I can easily find things like rent, internet, insurance prices, but how do I find things like grocery prices? I honestly don't even know what an average grocery list might look like, are there resources to help with this? my gf and I are looking into moving out, and assuming a monthly income of ~4400 USD and rent being 500 USD, I think we should be okay, but I need to be 100% that we won't be barely scraping by or anything. thank you everyone

I'm putting away $300 a month, my question is where to put it. savings account has basically 0 interest, there are HYSA (high yield savings account) that would give me 3-5% apy, or I already have some money in stocks that have grown consistently 25% over the last year (index funds only)

what would you guys recommend? I'm looking to buy it probably 3 years from now. that way either I've got a fat down payment or I can just buy it cash

thanks

I just need it to have icon pack support. I don't want anything weird or innovative, just basic (so things like pie and kiss are out)

neo launcher is buggy and hasn't been updated in 2 years, same with lawnchair, and neither of those have widgets working currently. the stock graphene os launcher has zero customization, fossify launcher doesn't support icon packs. ideally Foss, but whatever at this point. bonus points is it supports private space. Thanks guys

It should be that if i close the laptop and leave it, even overnight, it should only lose maybe 5% battery, but it actually loses all of it, as if it was on (it gets maybe 5 hrs of battery life)

I have it set to sleep after 5 minutes. What sorts of logs should I check to diagnose the problem?

Fedora 41 KDE spin on a 6th gen lenovo x1 carbon (intel i5-8650U)

aside from this, i really am enjoying linux on my new toy

thank you all

Currently the only thing stopping me from moving over is that the only way to get lossless music strreaming is through qobuzz, and im too lazy to move from apple music. what i just thought of though, is maybe running a windows or macos vm, and keeping apple music in there. how good is the audio though? does anyone know if bit perfect audio passthrough is possible? thank you

I love aves libre, but unfortunately it does not support HDR, which is important to me, since I record HDR videos on my phone

I'd like to not use Google photos

When I open an HDR video in Google Photos, HDR/SDR ratio goes up to 7.99. Photos it goes up to 4.99 or so

Aves doesn't go that

any ideas?
