Considering that he's literally the world's second-most famous purveyor of ethically-sourced video games, I'd say he will most definitely be needing that law degree at some point in the foreseeable future.
Seems pretty straightforward to me. There's a big difference between critically evaluating the massive failures of the USSR (for instance) and demonizing the USSR because "commie bad!"
