We DEFINITELY need more of them. There's Hyprland, Qtile, River, DWL and Sway on the tiling side. There is no real alternative to BSPWM (though river uses a similar config style) or to HerbsluftWM (though I don't know anyone that uses it, but still), or an alternative to AwesomeWM, or XMonad (though the XMonad devs are willing to pay someone to work on porting XMonad to Wayland)

Moving to dnf5

Just a heads up: if you're used to something superfast like pacman or xbps, even dnf5 can't compare to them, at least in my experience. Still miles ahead of regular dnf, and I'd even recommend dnf5 for OpenSUSE users too.

Much of the accessibility stack GNOME is working on is cross-desktop

I didn't know that. This is wonderful news!!!

Only AVs worth your time are:

common sense

an open source ad and tracker blocker

MS Defender if on Windows

ClamAV (or nothing like most people) if on Linux

I was having issues with Thunar, but that seems to be fixed now.

Yeah, I'm already using cmus and have used ranger before so I'd probably stick to those myself. (or try out lf for a file manager). I also mostly do email on my phone, and don't have a Thunderbird alternative for the terminal so I'd probably stick to just my phone for email. I've also tried zellij so I might consider that instead of Tmux.

Yup, river was quite good, but lacked a good way of configuring csd/ssd until that release. Now, it's something I would actively recommend.

Personally, I'm a lot more excited for the future of River as Isaac Freund (the lead dev) sees it.

I ended up also reading this article from the dude, which I found even more interesting.

You can change them. It's what I did.

Personally, I use bemenu and j4-dmenu-desktop.

I'd recommend you check out the my-bemenu script at .local/bin in my dots repo: https://gitlab.com/theshatterstone/dotfiles

Personally, I use cmus, though I've been looking around for alternatives also, just to see if there's something better for me. My main issue with cmus is having to build playlists within it, instead of using m3u files. This means I have to back up both my regular playlists I use on my phone, and my cmus playlists. But I haven't really found anything as easy to use and intuitive as cmus so far. I used to like deadbeef but I dropped it because it wasn't available everywhere and I wasn't the biggest fan of its interface.

I saw 1 at $4 that I liked, but I'll probably find another one I like for $4 or so, which means all the otger games are essentially free.

Holy! $1,600 worth of games for $8?

I'm not the paying type, but this is a very interesting offer and I'm considering it.
