I thought it had some super intrusive anticheat.

How does the deck handle something like that?

Is it good?

And does it include a rootkit?

Ok I imagine them doing the absolute same shit they do with their imagined scandals.
It's not like they are holding back waiting for something real.

And btw Trump himself ordered many partisan pardons.

So I don't see any downside to pardoning this guy right now.
It's not like he hurt anybody.
He leaked something that should have been public in the first place.

And that judge is obviously deranged if they think, this is even close to the same level as a violent attack on the capital to hinder a change of democratic power.

Loose is not tight.
Lose is not win.

At least the Blizzard RTS community seems to be pretty optimistic to me.

And Frost Giant seemed to be aware that their niche is made up of competitive RTS gamers that hate, hate, hate pay to win.

I will act legally, in accordance with the constitution and the law – as before.

Wait? Which one?
In accordance with the constitution? Or as before against the will of the constitution?

Says 14,62 € for me.

If meta joined, the users that make most fediverse content now will see their engagement drop.

That's where you lose me again.
Why would the engagement drop if a ton more users could consume your content.

It's not like the ratio of content creators to lurkers is any better on meta apps than here.

Btw thank you for the good faith discussion, I don't think that would have happened at the old place.

I know that you have put more thought into this topic than I did and you just might be right.

But dude that wallmart analogy misses the point by a mile.
Wallmart kills the small stores by simply undercutting them, this has nothing to do with what meta might do.

And you didn't really argue my point that people like you and I could and probably would consume meta content if it was federated.
But why would anyone that is part of the fediverse right now jump ship if meta came and went away again?

I damn sure will never create another meta account or use any meta app. Would you?

[–] toastus@feddit.de 4 points 2 years ago (6 children)

I understand all those points.

I just don't quite see how that would kill the fediverse.
After all wouldn't we be exactly where we are now if meta disconnected again?

It's not like you and I would suddenly start using threads if it started federating.

That's not what OP said.

They will never grow a conscience, but they will happily throw Trump under the bus if it serves them.
He is not one of them so he can easily be made part of the out group.

The very second dumping Trump is better for their aspirations of power than holding on to him they will do just that.
Not for moral reasons though, those don't even fall into consideration.

This is not news.
