Hi I am playing Tunic first time and looking to understand if I locked myself out of game content.
I was able to use my sword to strike and light the east tower.
I was not able to strike and light the west tower.
But I went inside that central temple structure with the honeycombs on the golden door and did the prompts. Now it says "Forever locked" or something similar. Have I done something wrong or out of order? Have I locked myself out of content or is this good to continue playing?

I feel like this is exactly what movie trailers should be - short and quick to the point without revealing too much. Movie trailers have gotten so long that you could just connect scenes together.
