Hopefully neither, and they’ll arrest the organizers/pimps/etc.

sex workers and clients should be the lowest priority.

Are Johns (and sex workers) even worth prosecuting? I think the DOJ is interested in a organized prostitution ring and it’s leaders, involved in conspiracy and money laundering, not a few dudes paying for (adult) sex.

I don’t think they’ll waste their time.

I think deleting the sub is the right call simply because it’s trying to replace a community that did enough in the past to deserve a ban on any platform.

Tired of all the calls for defederation though.

I don’t think it’s overlooked. It’s probably just not been implemented yet.

Is Lemmy toxic? I feel like all its shortcomings it’s far from toxic.

I actually think this video emphasizes things people at the first step need not bother with. The average Reddit user needs to simply know that if you join a given server you’ll be able interact with most the others, and you can subscribe when you see posts at c/all. This video is better for people who’ve already signed up and browsed for a bit.

Absolutely.

I don’t mind porn. Not my thing when I come to an aggregator, but whatever. I definitely don’t want to see gore/death/people being critically injured etc.

No. And that’s fine. I don’t expect underground music to replace top 40. And there’s a place for both.

I’d say if it become popular, but not too popular, that would be ideal.

That said,I found it to be pretty easy.
