Technically he's always been independent but primaried for office under a democratic ticket.

So fair? The dems still use him in this way and he is a close enough ally to be synonymous. Unless there's more recent news?

Would it matter which?

The DNC insiders clearly have no intention of letting the public have a voice in the party. Having a couple socialists around is supposed to secure the vote from the left. Neither Sanders nor AOC(nor other progressives) are leaving the party anytime soon.

It's fair to argue that splitting the party means losing to the right but the current strategy doesn't seem to be working out either.

These troll bots are here on Lemmy too. Same language. Bootlickers enabled by the internet. Do not feed them.

A few select ones would make a massive difference.

Sure but the generation of new hydrocarbons from sequestered resources means net available carbon increases. You're totally right that converting existing atmospheric CO2 to methane would have a larger impact. I'm not saying agriculture is off the hook here, nor that we should consider the horse as a solution to climate change, just that we probably wouldn't need this conversation without fossil fuel extraction.

Cars run on gas, horses run on grass.

Livestock contribute by land use (deforestation, crops for feed, pasture), water consumption, and the fossil fuel used in logistics processes (farm equipment, transport, electricity, etc...)

But anyways, animal farts come from preexisting carbon in the biosphere. Car farts come from extracting previously sequestered carbon. So without extractive processes, and with ethical land use/management, the atmospheric methane wouldn't have a significant impact.

Also you fart too. So there's that...

Yeah, too glitchy (missing functionality) with wine and the cloud services are unreliable if working at all. Work stuff so gotta use it 🫠

While FreeCAD has made huge leaps forward it's just not there yet, and it may never be what's needed to replace windows exclusive CAD software.

I'm stuck with the windows second boot, for better or worse, unless i change profession.

People who are consenting and terminal are as close to ethical human test subjects as you could possibly get. The only ethical question here is whether it's acceptable when someone is not profiting from it, and who's pride gets hurt.

Sorry, i meant in the classical form of bernoulli's equation it's been a while. It's common for people to suggest the wing is half a venturi, then try to apply 1DOF algebraic equations which don't work here.

Crazier to think 60tons of air being pushed down 10m/s^2 (or whatever equivalent mass/acc you want to think with) to keep it up there.

I am building a new PC. I want to run Linux and windows on separate SATA 2.5/3.5 SSD hard drives. I need windows (Winn11 Pro) for work. Linux will run all personal computing needs.

I have a horrible history with dual booting Linux and windows (grub getting murdered).

I currently plan to shut down the PC, switch power to the drives, and start up on the other OS.

Can i use a switch which only toggles power to each drive while keeping data cables attached to accomplish this? Will this be possible with windows on one drive?

Is there a smarter solution?

Thanks!
