My bosses and their decisions.

Same, and when I catch myself doing that, I wonder why I do it, then move on with life and do it again later.

I dunno man. I got nothing. I don't understand it either.

My father and stepmother were full tilt into this quackery. Today they don't talk about it as much, but they do talk about politics an awful lot. I'll let you figure out where they fall on the political spectrum.

I have a friend who is self-employed. He uses an iPhone and a MacBook Air. He only uses iMessage, Numbers, Safari and Apple Music for entertainment. He gets away with 8gb just fine and rarely has to reboot.

He probably could use a Chromebook or something even lighter, but the support and ecosystem were enough for him to pay the premium. His time is valuable to him so it was worth it to him.

What is the obsession with shitting on people's choices? I don't understand the irony of demanding choice in this industry, then shitting on people when they make a choice you don't agree with.

I actually like Apple’s approach to AI more than all of the others. I don’t care for Microsoft’s implementation at all. I just try to avoid Microsoft in general on top of that, so no need to complain about it.

But I do think Apple’s approach to AI from a privacy and implementation perspective is what I would prefer from a software vendor.

iPhones also have this feature, for a long time now:

Rather irresponsible of the article to not point out these features on Android and iPhone. Did a cop or government official write that article?

I guess I need to start looking deeper into this, and the potential for importing existing infrastructures into pulumi's purview. But I'm hesitant - I don't want pulumi to pull a Hashicorp. I'm wondering if it's best to just go with CFN and Bicep.

I'm still trying to de-Google my life, little by little. I don't trust Bing for similar reasons. DDG is feeling shady of late. What's the search engine you all recommend that I can inject into my daily life? Is there perhaps a search engine that is focused on code, or have we just all moved on to AI for searching?

Edit: I meant to also express my frustration that most browsers do not let you select a "default search engine" that can be used in the address bar aside from 3-5 pre-chosen engines. Seems like 2023 we should be able to customize that to our own liking.

Edit 2: Thanks for the recommendation of Kagi. I'm going to roll with it for a while. I see they have an extension for Safari that allows them to hijack the address bar, which is just what I needed.
