We use sourcebirds.com for that, it’s sort of an agency/network of sourcing agents who helps with everything from finding a manufacturer, inspection or developing a custom product etc.

But you can also try to use fiverr or up work, it’s just a bit difficult to find someone who actually knows their stuff/knows about safety regulations/certifications etc.

Anyway I’d recommend to reach out to a few different companies/people and see who is the best fit for you

People who can find a manufacturer that you are looking for.
To everyone starting out: always, always hire one. They'll make sure you are woking with an actual factory and not a reseller, will review the certifications etc.

There are countless stories about how people lose all of theirs savings because they chose the wrong supplier.

Why not hire a lawyer and make sure you are protected? The law works in China just like anywhere else

Get yourself a good sourcing agent, you can find one on upwork or sourcebirds

The urge to give up is just so bad! We’ve already invested in this new venture quite heavily and quitting now would be a huge financial loss (would take years to recover). The idea still excites us, but oh man we didn’t expect it to be so hard this time.
