I wish I had your faith in humanity. Yep there are people that would burn more out of spite. And even more that would elect people being for moderate or no climate action.

I'm actually quite interested in dress history. I'm an engineer at heart and clothing is fundamentally also an engineering problem (and design of course). It's an area of engineering that was always dominated by women and you can sometimes see the novel approaches that brings.

For example historical corsets were actually quite comfortable when fitted right. One reason why is actually breast support. Predecessors to the modern Bra did exist but were not in fashion as a more compressed looking bust and later a shaped silhouette was in fashion.

Also it's cool what tricks one can use to form the silhouette without extremely compressing the waist (which is how many modern people often think is the function of a corset).

I recommend Bernadettes channel on this topic: link

Welcome to the world of B2B where 98% of products are listed nowhere and of those products you get a listing the price is either hidden or not the price anyone really pays.

I've not studied this but I see a solution in contracting other businesses to do the labor required. Something like a collectively owned customer service business.

For the record I did not down vote but I can see how people dislike this kind of over enthusiasm for drugs still in trial. Many people got burned before by false hope :(

Is it? Haven't watched it yet unfortunately

I really wish to see more accurate depictions of military life. Strangely competent in some areas but at the same time mundane incompetence everywhere.

It would probably be boring though.

Flying is still the safest mode of travel.

Funny Gentoo actually was my gateway to arch. Loved the customizability of Gentoo and the rolling release model.

But building Chrome and Firefox (I needed both for work reasons sometimes) every update was the nail in the coffin. Switched to Arch and didn't miss a thing.

They learned of it after it happened per the article.

Why shouldn't they count? It's literally testing a nuclear weapon. The clock does not say: "Time since the last detonation of a nuclear weapon".

Edit: But one could argue that nuclear weapons get tested all the time without any kind of detonation. These should count too IMHO.

Edit: just read another article on the tests. They happen to design new weapons with them which makes them not tests to see if the nukes still work like I thought.
