You do realise that if it went to Australia, it would also be a winter world cup

USA produces more oil than Saudi Arabia, we're going there next
Free Palestine seems pretty fair, sure much more fair that a "Enslave Palestine" flag
Someone more knowledgeable can confirm, but as you pointed out there are numerous Powermatic 80's. The base one has a plastic pallet fork but the higher end ones don't.
That being said, their service costs are pretty low - Tissot charge not too bad compared to a good jewellers given the guarantee etc. They technically don't "repair" movements and just swap it out but that doesn't matter you at the end of the day.
Will it last 20+ years? Eh maybe not. 5-10 years yeah that's fine
OP knows nothing about watches. He has an Apple Watch and doesn't like Rolex because "it screams douchebag" not to mention the fact that his budget is 10x too low and likely doesn't understand how unattainable they are.
OP already owns and Apple Watch. It is very likely a Mechanical watch of any kind is not suited for him. Has no reason to care about the mechanical aspect and will probably only get annoyed at having to reset the time constantly because of the days he wears his Apple Watch.
OO is prime candidate for "go into the jewellers and get something you like". And probably something Quartz too.
The best advice to give his is to stay away from fashion brands and microbrands as well. OP needs to be able to see and buy something in-store.
OP should stick with brands like:
Tissot
Citizen
Seiko
Raymond Weil
Certina
Longines
Bulova
Junghans
Hamilton
Frederique Constant
FFS it's Malta and North Macedonia and you've already qualified. Why not use it as an opportunity to try out something new/different - yes I'm annoyed JWP isn't on the roster, also if Southgate blieballs Tomori by making him travel all the way for training and not even play him he's a bellend
