As European who basically watches games the day after Im sometimes baffled how shit the commentating is.
Sometimes I feel like the commentators are more busy sucking each other off or reading stat lines (or sheets) than anything else.
I think it's definitely an added value to mention things like 'player x played good last game(s)' etc, but just adding random info most of the time adds nothing to the game.
Luckily not every game this is tue case, but Ive watched some where it was just annoying as fuck
