The article pointed out that her death was weeks after the Roe V Wade was overturned. The committees that evaluate maternal mortality rates generally have an approximate two year backlog. So we are just now at the point where we can begin to see the impacts in official numbers.

I liked sphere. I did not like event horizon. It's terrifying.

It's fine. Now you can hire another two women and they still get their own. 👍

That's not very helpful. It's always the mens bathroom line that's too long at work. The woman basically gets her own.

No Costco, but we have Sam's. I'm usually better at seeking deals, but I happened to have my kid with me when we were running another errand, so I didn't get to do my usual strategic pricing. I just had no idea underclothes were one of the things I need to be strategic about. Anyway, I hope his butt is comfortable this school year!

It was two packs of Hanes and UA socks that were on clearance. I had sticker shock at the total, but it guess it works out to around $20ish per pack which is about on par with my expectations. My kid is 16, and if I didn't intervene, he'd shove his foot into moldy old socks from when he was 10 and never complain. So I try to get him to go clean out his drawers as part of our back to school shopping.

I just spent $66 on 9 pairs of underwear and 6 pairs of socks.

I'd like to track hurricanes. All the apps I see collect all kinds of personal data. I just go to NOAA to see the advisories, but wondering if there is something better.

Edit: OS is Android 14 Edit: looking for radar (probably) or some other feature to track hurricanes (I don't know what tools there are besides radar, but if there's something else I'm interested).
