Almost all of my entire money is in crypto except for my house and living expenses. I'm considering which of these is the safest and cheapest:

1 using gnosis safe multisig wallet on gnosisi chain , 2/4

2 using gnosis safe multisig wallet on BSC chain, 2/4

3 using ledger nano x on ethereum mainnet .

4 store money in BInance with 2fa

I’m building a Dapp. I want to code a way for a new Ethereum wallet to be assigned to new users of my Dapp when they sign up.

Also, if I wanted to use account abstraction to make it more difficult for users to lose their wallets, how would I implement it here?

Please assist.

I have some mathematical algorithm I have reason to run as an on-chain function in a smart contract. After unrolling for-loops I'm looking at I'm guessing 10000 lines of code where each line is doing simple arithmetic (adding or multiplying floating point numbers in small arrays).

I know for a fact the function can be computed 3000-5000 times per second on a 2.3 GHz Intel i5, when written in C depending on parameter tweaks.

Before writing the code my 'gut feel' is I'm looking at 1,000,000 gas for something like this, based on some simple hardhat tests with large for-loops.

Running this on a main chain looks like a joke, but running this on Polygon or some kind of roll-up looks like it might not be ridiculously expensive?

I estimate users will need to call the function/transaction maybe 5 or 10 times total. I also estimate that the on-chain data will be around 5 kilobytes per transaction (or 2kb with on-chain decompression). The majority of participants to the smart contract would likely be willing to spend $120 total on those 5 or 10 transactions but $10000 might not be out of the question for certain corporate use-cases.

Ballpark, does this sound like it adds up or have I vastly underestimated the cost of gas or on-chain data?

Hello All,

Have been using defi (Oasis, Defi Saver, Avve, Uniswap, etc) on the ethereum mainnet for as long as I can remember.

Getting tired of the high gas prices. Thinking of using metamask to bridge to optimism which is integrated which is integrated with most of the Dapps I am using.

This is my first time using Layer2s. Was always concerned with centralization and safety but transaction costs on the mainnet are brutal and will probably only get worse if we see a new bull run.

How secure/safe is optimism? What is the best/safest ways to bridge assets back and forth. Is there a better way to accomplish what I am trying to do?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I was going to experiment with bridging to Mantal blockchain and because its considerd a swap the fee is crazy high. Is there a compute calculator to see if I should send a certain amount to balance out the 40 to 100 usd Ethereum want for me to send these tokens anywhere.

Thanks

I've mostly been using trust wallet to swap erc20 tokens and it has a built in swap system that automatically finds the "cheapest" fees and best route for swapping across a few different DEX's. However these "cheapest fees" are still upwards of $15+. How do I access optimism, matic, etc to get these fees lowered? Why doesn't trust wallet check these exchanges? Are ALL ERC20 coins compatible on L2? I've been buying low stuff, (under $20,000,000 mCap) are these not compatible?

My wETH is priced at $2200 while ETH is $2088. Am I missing something or can I unstake my wETH now and instantly earn $112 on each ETH?

Transaction stuck like this for an hour tx ID - 0x147e1f2e94cb22d7e257fc4b2d33751b677b0f9738f424f20995d1b005bf54a5

What’s the problem? I paid 71 gwei for the transaction so it’s not a case of too little gas.

I read online that I can speed up the transaction somehow, but I don’t have any money to do that until tomorrow.

Will it stay pending until I’m able to put more gas in tomorrow?

I'm thinking about using a staking service, but coinbase is so easy and I trust it more than most other companies. if I do use a service, which one do people recommend?

Can Ethereum (ERC-20) be sent to a Ethereum (ETH) wallet? I have tried finding an answer to this on Google but I'm getting conflicting results and I don't really understand what the difference is between the two and if they are compatible or not.

The place I am getting my coin from says it is Ethereum (ERC-20) and I need to enter an address to send it to. The only Ethereum wallet I have right now is on LocalCoinSwap which says it is a Ethereum (ETH) wallet. Am I able to send it there or should I find a new place that specifically has Ethereum (ERC-20) wallets? Any info or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I wrapped some Eth a long time ago. I basically forgot about it. I just saw it now in my Metamask wallet

I can't remember which L2 I wrapped it from. I need help on what to do to unwrap it. Any link or direct step by step guide on how to go about this will be appropriated

Thanks

Hi all, I'm not well versed in this, but my account on Bittrex is closing down since they filed for bankruptcy.

I want to transfer a little Ethereum to my Kraken account, where for a deposit I have to make two choices:

Network, choice of:

  • Arbitrum
  • Ethereum
  • Optimism
  • Polygon

Method:

  • Native
  • Smart Contract

I'm guessing to select Ethereum and Native, but I would like to make sure. Can't find details when using Google.

Thanks!

As digital transformation continues to deepen, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the coming Web3 era. In our latest conference hosted by @InitVerse, we invited a group of distinguished experts and scholars to provide the public with an insight into Web3 - a new chapter in what has been hailed as the future of the Internet.

Participants gained practical knowledge on how to implement decentralized networks, smart contracts, and DApps through blockchain technology. The discussion also touched on how to ensure personal data ownership and privacy protection in the Web3 environment, as well as the importance of digital identity and asset ownership.

We encourage educators, students, and technology enthusiasts to continue to follow the latest developments through @InitVerse and participate in future events and forums to maintain awareness and understanding of this important field. Join us and embrace the digital future.
