So as the title says my headband finally broke from the yolk area where hifiman decided to screw, screws into plastic. Cans are completely fine just the whole headband is gone. (Both sides gave out) anyone else experience this and find a replacement headband? Any advice / help is greatly appreciated!

I know mine's frowned upon but for me its the Sony XM3/4. They fit perfectly on my head and dont feel to heavy, apart from the sound I think its a great headphone. Anyways what's your most comfortable headphone you have ever worn?

I have the Sonys XM4s, they sound pretty bad compared to my Space Travels

Anything relatively high-end with competent sound?

I have a Samsung Galaxy a52s, and it has both a 3.5mm headphone jack, and also a USB-C port for charging that you can use for audio transmission. My wired headphones, AKG K371, ATH-M50X and others, I can use straight through the jack or with a USBC/3.5mm dongle adapter. I have the apple adapter and it's not good for volume, too low, but I got another one that came with my earbuds Qian 39 and those have very good volume. Wondering which option is technically the best for sound quality streaming (Qobuz now). I'm testing a to b and it seems to me the USB C might be a bit better, but might be in my mind. Any ideas?

I have a pair of Phiaton MS400's that I've had for a while. I know they're not the best out there but they're good enough for me and I'm pretty fond of them. They work fine but the earpads are disintegrating. I was hoping to find replacement earpads but I'm coming up with nothing. I know they weren't terribly popular so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Do they make universal earpads and how would I go about figuring out which ones will fit?

it is small, exquisite, and practical, which is very suitable for my desk aesthetics

I’m in a situation where I might switch from an Audient ID22 to an RME Babyface Pro due to hardware failure. The catch is, if I make this switch, I won’t be able to use my Schiit Magni anymore because all the outputs of the Babyface will be dedicated to my KH120 speakers. This means I’ll have to rely on the Babyface’s regular headphone output for my Audeze LCD-X.

So, I’m curious: can the headphone amp in the Babyface Pro stand up to the Schiit Magni in terms of driving power and sound quality for the LCD-X? I’m really interested in your experiences or opinions on whether the Babyface Pro can deliver a comparable or even better performance.

Any insights or comparisons you can offer would be a huge help in making this decision!

I'm trying to find the name of a song featured in one of Oluv's Gadgets' YouTube videos. Unfortunately, Shazam couldn't recognize it.
Song is at 6:11 . Here's the link

Should have done my research better when I replaced my Sony headphones in spring. Beats Studio Pro 3 kept shutting down in temperature around mid 20s Fahrentheit (-5 Celsius), with a bit of wind gusts (maybe 15-20 mph) after < 20 minutes...Battery was fully charged and was still in mid-90 % range once they'd turn on again inside. I see this has been a chronic problem for *years* with "recommended" responses in Apple Support citing default "battery not good in cold" and quoting Apple's recommendations about above freezing usage...now the temperature range you see cited for being over 32 F is even for iOS devices...clearly it doesn't truly apply to iPhones as I've never had issue in cold weather (imagine the uproar if iPhones wouldn't work at all in winter!), but this Beats thing is something else...never happened with Bose or Sony over-ear Bluetooth headphones...I'm starting to think "Designed in California" may be a boast worth revisiting.

Not even December and my $400+ headphones I've had since May look to be useless outdoors for months. Thanks, Apple.

Anyone else have these problems??

Hello where can I buy the replecmemt filters for the moondrop chu? I have had these since June of this year, and one side was getting blocked by the filter so I couldn't hear much out of it. I have heard this is a common problem with these? Right now I am running them without the filters, but it's almost to loud now. Do you guys know where to buy them? Preferably somewhere online with fast shipping? Or if you have any other suggestions please feel free to let me know. I'm also thinking about picking up the second generation of these the moondrop chu 2 with the replacable cable. have any of you guys tested them out?? And do they have the same issue as the original? Please let me know!

So i was looking for vintage Sennheiser headphones and a friend offered this rather new hd540 ref (with aftermarket pads) to me.

Although to be fair none of us have any extensive knowledge about the hd540 and I would love to know if this is a early/mid/or late 300 or 600ohms version.

So I just got my first amplifier and am a bit confused regarding the EQ settings. So when EQ is disabled, the frequency graph is flat, so is it setting the frequency response to flat(why would it be flat by default?) or does it just mean there are no changes being made to the default sound of my headphones? I ask because they do sound different but I am unsure if that is due to this setting or just caused by the amplifier in general since some people say they change the sound.

Hi, I just got the Momentum 4 and it’s noise cancelling feature is giving me a headache. I read that it has to do with a perceived change in pressure. What can I do to prevent this from happening? Should I return them for something else?

Hello, I am looking for a Xmas gift for myself because my family keeps asking me what I want and I recently have broken my expensive headphones because I sleep with them, yes I know it's bad but I literally can't sleep without headphones on, I still use them by the way, but it's not noise cancelling anymore. I saw that earphones were better but IEMS got tiny batteries and I averagely sleep 10-12 hours (yes, it's alot) and I feel exhausted if I don't get that much hours. And yes I sleep on the side with my headphones it has never bothered me at all. But my ears hurts with average earphones like airpods so I really need advice on this. Thanks

Just a heads-up, in case anyone is considering buying any headphones from Drop - DON'T!!!

I purchased a PC38X from Drop.com, which are now defective due to a manufacturing defect, and they are refusing to honour the warranty, within the approved period.

So far the excuses they have come up with have been:

  1. try these fixes (which I already tried - they never bothered to properly read my email)

  2. your item is not in the warranty period (it absolutely is, and their dates in their email confirmed this)

  3. ok, fine, it's in warranty, but it's out of stock now (absolute lie, the item is 'available', 'in stock', and 'ready to ship' - I had a friend put in an order out of curiosity, and it went through with no issues

  4. how about you take $15-$20 instead and piss off?

I have attached the conversation with them to this post, and images showing the item (a) is in warranty and (b) is in stock, and their horrible reply.

Just a thought for anyone considering a Drop.com purchase - they are REFUSING to honor valid warranties. Stay safe out there everyone.

Thanking in anticipation.

Hi. I'm sorry for the weird question. I've searched the subreddit and found some info, but not enough. So here goes:

I share an apartment with my family. At night I have to reduce the sound on my speakers, which in turn makes me not be able to hear many things I am watching or playing, like ambience sounds or dialog. I've tried regular headphones but they usually start hurting my ears after a few hours. Do open back headphones have the benefits of headphones where I can hear everything clearly, while they aren't that loud to others and they don't hurt my ears?

When I'm watching movies, explosions will be loud so I'll have to reduce my volume, but in turn I won't be able to hear dialog because it's so much quieter than other sounds. I'd like not to have to turn my volume up and down every 2 minutes while watching a movie (just an example)

I would also like to be able to hear if someone is calling me from another room in case of emergency. Regular headphones usually cancel that sound out.

Thanks for the help, guys. I appreciate it.

Hello! I have a question related to TWS earbuds and Google Fast Pair . If I add the earbuds to my google account I can use it to see the last known location where it connected to my phone. If someone else connects to my earbuds can they see my actual location? Or the last location? Thank you!

If I get the DT770s, and want to get an amp with it, cause they’re 250ohms, and then run it out of my goXLR mini and I’ll be using them with my PC, will I need to power the amp directly from my PC for me to get any audio from my PC? Or can I power it just from my power bar, and run the headphones through the goXLR mini and still get audio from my PC?

It's been a week since I got this, and boy it's good for its price but my only concern is its fit. I tried all of its earbuds but for some reason, the buds are falling off from my ears. I'm worried since I am wearing this outside, and they may fall off the road. Haha

Anyone else, experienced this?

Going through this journey I got a lot of recommendations claiming those things are THE HEADPHONES and nothing can beat it and... And sometimes I get a little disappointed for spending loads of bucks at a “meh” headphone. But I can’t blame them, I know that one thing that is good for one may not be for the other.

I see people asking this question about the “best”, but audio and music are very subjective. That’s why we get many different answers and there is no “better headphones”. So for YOU, what’s the best audio device and you love to listen in them?

So around 2-3 weeks ago I ordered a pair of MH Tungsten. Call me an idiot as it was a complete blind buy but the hype around them is kinda real. A 1499-1999$ pair that rivals headphones double its price sound promising, only issue is you need a nuclear reactor to power them.

Did anyone here order a pair too and already received it?

Mind to give a short „review“?
