- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Yet when BLM, a colossal movement featuring people from countless backgrounds, a 95% peaceful protest rate, fighting for racial equality and justice, and always unarmed, does nation wide peaceful protests against police brutality...

I would not call it 95% peaceful by a long shot. They started out that way, but so many protests turned riots, breaking and entering to hundreds of thefts and several locations around Chicago being burned (south suburb post office and a Target I think). Downtown had the Nike and Apple stores robbed like crazy, several Mom n pop shops closed for weeks if not longer due to damages.
I can imagine Minneapolis being worse since the George Floyd indecent was there.

Still a drop in the bucket compared to wage theft. Definitely don't bring up the comparison with physical violence.
Wage theft happens to ALL races, all genders, all levels! It's NOT a race thing, it's a "wrong people with power" thing. It's class warfare, they (wealthy) control the media (propaganda) telling you it's race so they can distract you from the truth. Obviously if everyone saw a few rich people controlling everything, we would easily rise up and overthrow them. Boom, fixed.
Wage theft has been a slow process on purpose so that it's less perceivable. A slight inconvenience over time means people try to accommodate or sacrifice little by little. Over time, forgetting how much has changed.
Hence why the saying "eat the rich" is popular in Reddit and Lemmy... (Most) Everyone is sick of this shit!!!
But... Getting back to your justification of crime and violence. Fuck that shit! That allows the wealthy to villainize minorities and make everyone "not white" seen like the enemy! It fuels their message and the worst thing you can do is play into their hands!
Plus, It only hurt the little business owners who struggle enough already as it is, often shops owned by other races/ethnicities.. So no, there's no justifying theft and violence to try and "take back what you're owed". Best we can do is team up, protest, go on strikes all over to start to punish the wealthy by not partaking in their game, reducing consumerism, being more self-sufficient, etc. We also need to elect the appropriate people. Non-lifetime politicians. Those who commit to no bribes, have ethics and standards, etc.
Unitewhiteme. That's not all you can do, and I said nothing about race. I'd like to see how you eat the rich without violence. Wait til they die?
