Where they really that big of a deal? They had that one song that was a tie into that forgettable Ben Affleck Daredevil movie.

They pushed their way into the Christian market but claimed not to be a Christian band, in the Bring me to life/ My Immortal release they managed to get a pretty wide audience. Bring me to life, was pretty unique and haunting at the time.

Coldplay studied this, learned from their mistakes and then mastered the art of claiming to be a christian band while simultaneously claiming to not be a christian band
