~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

If everything between tng and lower decks doesnt feel star treky, perhaps you dont really like star trek?
I understand what you're saying, but that's entirely a matter of opinion.
I like Trek overall. I grew up on TNG, but my father became obsessed with DS9 while it was airing. I was a little too young to fully appreciate it, but I'll never forget him rushing to turn it on every Thursday night. A decade or so later, I watched all of DS9 and then jumped straight into Voyager. Janeway became my favorite captain and Voyager, for all the flaws in its continuity given the pedigree of the writers, became my favorite series.
Objectively, DS9 is generally considered the best series between the writing, the acting, the casting, and the overall impact on the political landscape of the Trek universe while Voyager used equal parts deep lore and significant handwavium to wrap up their impossible task all while keeping their finger on the perpetual reset button.
Further, I see people complain about Picard (which I didn't finish) saying they besmirched the character and left the spirit of Trek behind. I saw a deeply personal tale about a man who became so accustomed to being a lynchpin of galactic affairs come to terms with his own mortality and fading relevance, turning to the rougher edges of life he learned the hard way to flirt less with.
But maybe I'm not a real fan either for not having watched anything last S2 Picard.
