Uh i live in mexico and i think that means i live in America. Dont act like the US is the only or most important america there is

The US is certainly the most influential of the Americas. When people refer to "America" they mean USA. When people say "North America" they mean USA and Canada, even though Mexico is technically part of North America. I am neither American, nor part of the Americas. I just find it funny that people have been using term for centuries and some nationalist Mexicans and south Americans are just now getting upset about it.
