The historic answer for almost everyone is Adrian Dantley. Highly efficient low post scorer who was like 6"3 and still couldn't be stopped. Ultimately he was a black hole and a bad defender, the Pistons began winning championships when they shipped him off for Mark Aguirre, but he is one of the single best scorers in league history and a player no one will ever duplicate. But no one ever talks about him.

Dantley is also a crossing guard in Hyattsville, Maryland. DeMatha guy, Maryland guy, one of the finest basketball players the DMV has produced.
