Bazzite might be the wrong distro for you. Being immutable means you have fewer options for building out specialized hardware support.
You could also try using Bottles to make yourself a dedicated Bottle/prefix for your sims. You would then put everything you need — games and tools — inside that Bottle. There are many ways to do this, but I consider Bottles the easiest to learn and use.
With Distrobox you can install any Linux software you could on any other distro. Immutable isn't the hurdle people make it out to be. It's just different than what people have been used to for so long.
