And yet we should still be better
It is what got us into this mess, giving the gentle, carebear treatment to complete monsters, while they take another shot at us.
Sometimes, you need to be old testament with them, so they know and fear justice.
They just see mercy as weakness
It's still prison, I'm not saying to hand him victims (in fact part of what I'm saying is prisons should stop handing victims to rapists). I'm saying he should have tolerable food, clean water, exercise, social interaction, and other basic necessities while we attempt to make a human out of him after he's convicted. Currently he's not even convicted
Best do it before people like me get our hands on him, he has made way too many people who deserved better, suffer and die.
I don't think you understand the sheer magnitude of what these monsters did.
I would do anything to make sure that sort of stuff never happens again.
I don't think you understand how systems of institutuonsl violence function. When prisons are made worse the in group becomes less and less likely to be sent there. If we make prisons into little hells, we don't get less violent sociopaths, they just become prison guards
