I'm thinking of picking up a Tesla P40 as a fun project, but can't use a blower fan because of sound / a lack of appropriate fan headers.
I'm wondering if anyone has info on how well these solutions might work or other solutions that work well:
- 2-3 CPU fans ziptied to the front or back of the card. Possibly with /without the shroud
- A 195CFM Duct fan - with some kind of cardboard shroud. Card would be running on a riser as there's no way it would fit in the case. (have a spare lying around - also have a weaker quieter 95cfm one if that would work )
- A Single 120mm CPU fan but without the 3d printed adapter, in the usual location
- 3 but with a cardboard shroud
Also are there any tips on letting the gpu control fan speed itself?
I've tried looking online but the few bits of info I've found are for older, weaker cards in the Tesla line up so I can't be sure if any of these would be okay for a P40.
I printed a loopback style fan adapter and chucked a big ol' terdo fan on my P100

Do you have Link to the stl for the 3d print?
