Had some vacation, so didn't get time to read much.

Eh, IDK whether to recommend them or not. I enjoyed the first one but kinda gave up after book 2 or 3. If you like urban fantasy, it's probably worth checking out. IDK whether you'd get hung up on the same things that I did (Sorry to be so vague; it's been a while since I read them).
