Shit like this makes me feel little bits of the truth came through the Bible. Missed by the men who'd use it for their own gain.
If there was a higher being a "God," I doubt they would be as cruel and barbaric as the books say. Why bother being that way? Maybe at one time, it wanted to be closer to us, but realized it wasn't good for us. Now we've got folks thinking they feel it, but "it" is probably long gone. Either exploring the universe and everything between or dead.
Could be, it's fundamentally unknowable. I see it like being super into WH40K lore. There's so much to learn, so many opinions and sometimes it's fun to think about but it's a hobby best kept to yourself or those who are interested in discussing it. It's not a thing to share by singing and praising the god emperor of mankind to a captive audience trapped in a metal tube with you.
I listen to a podcast laying down every lore detail of that dystopian mess. I do not play wh40k.

these people think god is merciful, but hes actually quite spiteful/wrathful regardless of peoples devoutness. per the bible.
