A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

EU should take note.
Unless I'm in a huge hurry I'll wait in the cashier queue, to do my tiny bit to help preserve jobs.
Jobs aren’t something to be preserved, that’s the wrong way of thinking about it. Jobs are a waste of everyone’s time. You’re not saving a job, you’re spending labour. The goal should be to eliminate all jobs.
The problem is the link between income and work, that should be eliminated.
Sure, but I cannot eliminate that link. I can, however, queue to the cashier so that they can put food on the table.
There are multiple solutions for poverty, making people dig holes and then fill them back in is not a great one.

That’s never going to happen under capitalism though, so until socialism is achieved, I’m going to do the best I can to ensure that my fellow workers have as much access to good paying jobs as possible.
It’s self-sustaining. They have convinced people that they don’t deserve access to resources unless they perform some meaningless demeaning labour. The job leaves them too exhausted and numb to question the status quo and do something about it. Yet, at the same time the 0.1% who is hoarding all the planet’s resources isn’t scanning any groceries to ‘deserve’ it.
Yes, which is why organization and political education is so critical, and also why MLs place importance on vanguard parties. The capitalists are never going to give us the time for everyone to realize we can demand better, so those of us who already realize it need to step up and help guide those who don’t.

100% agree with you. our economy is not vegan as long as people are forced to work. people can still work if they want to, that would be vegan.

It's not only the jobs, it's the liability: if you're forgetting to scan a product, you're shoplifting. If the cashier forgets to scan a product it's the shop's problem.
I have inadvertently failed to scan some small item that was in a fold of the bag a couple of times.
