They missed me with that Monster Hunter movie, you could plainly see in the trailers it was just a US Military advertisement.
Wow, I completely missed that this movie exists and thought you were fucking with us. But no, they seriously did a soldier isekai into Monster Hunter world. How much coke was involved in making such a travesty?

I assumed it was inspired and funded the same way and for the same reasons Gate was.
Wait monster hunter the game series or monster hunter international the book series? the books focus on private contracting companies hunting vampires and what not for the government while trying to keep the public from knowing monsters are real, one of my favourite book series so I hope it's the latter
Sorry to break it to you, but it looks like the game series and not the book series (Which makes sense based on OP). That being said, it sounds like at least I have a new book series to check out, so thanks!
Check out the author too, he started a voting bloc called Sad Puppies to influence the Hugo Awards for a few years (which meant voting for his books, of course) because he was upset that thanks to political correctness it was impossible for straight white men to win awards legitimately.
