Never played resident evil, but I remember the first movie being great
Yeah in also confused why they think it was a generic script - the story as a whole wasn't lifted from any of the games AFAIK, but it followed along definitly-RE plot points.
Plus it was cool to see those things in real instead of not PS1/PS2 graphics, but ok that's not about the story.
