I’m using DT-770 80 ohm with a lightning adapter, seemingly at a pretty quiet level, but it’s saying 85-90dB. When I use my APPs, I usually stick around 65-70dB at a similar loudness level (at least to my ears). Does headphone safety incorrectly calculate the volume level with higher resistance headphones like mine?

I didn't know it worked with wired headphones. My guess would be that you are correct and it doesn't calculate for impedance.
