Redditors what dyou think if the lebron we saw in 2008-09 and 2009-10 is playing in today's game? Let's admit the game around that time was different and was more into defense compared to now, to be fair game now is more fluid and offensive compared to those times. How would he fair w the likes of giannis, tatum, luka, booker, and the young superstars today? What dyou think will be his stats line in today's game?

Also, how would he fair in a matchup with the defensive players nowadays like dray, giannis, vanderbilt, jjj, caruso, dillon brooks (lol) and more?

2009 was his athletic peak IMO, he would wrecked the league in transition and would have like a 65%TS with today's spacing (aka not playing with either Andy Varejao or a washed Big Ben at the 4) + even tho he hadn't peak defensively his athleticism would make him such a dangerous switching defender/backside roamer

current LeBron literally has 67%TS, MVP Bron would definitely have higher than "just" 65%TS and would lead the league in TS% by far it wouldn't be fair lmao

  1. Didn't even realized that lol
  2. Current Lebron is picking and chosing his spots, has become even smarter and is a way better jump shooter, so I don't think 2009 Lebron would be MORE efficient, he'd have way more volume tho

And the minutes wouldnt even kill/bother him

The funny thing is, it's always talked about like what would player XYZ do in a different era.

We literally have that guy in a different era, and he'd be even more dominant.

It depends which LeBron. First stint Cavs LeBron took a lot of wild jumpshots and layups, which is why his efficiency was so low. Miami LeBron really reigned in his shot selection and increased his efficiency dramatically.
