everyone says to build a good business you have to find customers pain points and solve that, i agree but when i look at brands like coca cola, products like games, movies, all these dropshipping stores, expensive brands who outsource manufacturing and use the word luxury to price it way higher than market value of that product and still people buy it, what are they solving?

You want entertainment…..but you don’t have a lot of friends. That’s a problem. Games or movies are a solution.

Say you want a particular item. But you can’t find it anywhere. That’s a problem. Dropshippers are a solution.

Say you want to be an athlete. You love your sport but you’re not a professional or anything. So certain overpriced luxury items (Nike, for example) solve that problem(your desire to be an athlete) by attaching its brand to an athletic identity. Overpriced items often solve the desire for a status symbol or an aspirational identity.
