It's the privatization of Operation Mockingbird. In the 70's the U.S. Military and Intelligence apparatus got caught using military grade psychological warfare on it's own civilian population post WWII (Church and Pike Committee's). So the parasitic rich started getting together every year at the Billionaire's SummerCamp, where they could consolidate the media industry. After the hammer fell on Citizen's United, all the stops got pulled out, and now they are going for total control: mind control.
If you want to fight it, ditch your cellphone and start making friends the old fashioned way. Buy board games, go hiking. Stop using media, social media. On the other hand you can support real journalists on substack/patreon.
